    Internship with WGCU, NPR member station, Fort Myers, Fla. (June 2013Present) Wrote readers for daily newscasts. Reported and produced spots and features. Attended news meetings and worked one-on-one with the news director. Internship with Heritage Radio Network, Brooklyn, N.Y. (February 2013May 2013) Created promos, clip reels and music compilations for shows. Helped update the website during shows. Staff Writer for The Gazette Newspaper, Gaithersburg, Md. (August 2010-May 2012) Wrote four to seven articles each week for this weekly Post Co.-owned paper about local arts and entertainment events across three counties. Stories included an interview with a local resident who fled the German occupation of Denmark during World War II, exploring the life of a traditional Sri Lankan dancer and an interview with former Sen. Joseph Lieberman. Regular Contributor to The Washington Post Express (July 2009-August 2010) Wrote three to seven articles each month about local arts and culture events in the Washington, D.C. metro area. Features Editor for the Virginia Tech student-run daily, The Collegiate Times (August 2009-April 2010) Assigned local entertainment pieces, human-interest profiles and columns.
