Week 2 (4/6/12 - 8/6/12)

Procedures to search and enquire on materials in the warehouse through the company database were learnt. Screws and washers which were commonly used in the company were studied and identified (Fig. 3.2). Environment, safety and health induction training which was conducted by safety department was attended. This training mentioned on the safety issues in the workplaces. Next, spare part lists for boiler, compressor, cooling tower and pumps were updated (Fig. 3.3). These lists are created at first to ensure my department could identify the spare parts quantity in the ware house and re-order if necessary. Next, output efficiency data for both boilers area were calculated and tabulated (Fig. 3.4). Next, proposal regarding piping modification for Bay 13 compressor was done (Fig. 3.5).
