The Law of Love - by Philip Mburu
The Law of Love - by Philip Mburu
By Harrison Mburu
Those who accept the light concerning the meditation of Christ and the perpetuity of the law of God are thus led to see, the sacred, unchanging character of the divine law. They see, as never before, the force of the Saviors words. Till heaven and earth pass, one jolt or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law (Mathew 5:8). The law of God, being a revelation of His will, a transcript of His character, must forever endure. Not one command has been annulled; not a jot or tittle has been changed. In the very bosom of the Ten Commandments (Decalogue) is the fourth commandment as it was first proclaimed: remember the Sabbath day, to keep it Holy. Six days shall thou labor and do all they work but the seventh day is the Sabbath of Lord thy Godfor in six days the lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day. Wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it (Exodus 20:10-11). The Spirit of God impresses the hearts of students of His word. Many ignorant transgress this precept by disregarding the creators rest day. Examine the reasons for observing the first day of the week instead of the day which God sanctified; there is no evidence in the Holy Scriptures that the fourth commandment has been abolished or that the Sabbath has been changed. The blessings which first hallowed the seventh day have never been removed. THE RELATIONSHIP Most Bible teachers dont teach the way the Bible speaks concerning the Law of God. They say that it was abolished at Calvary, I take this moment which I call it foolish moment to prove my foolishness right though recording both Greatest commandment given by Jesus and Sinai given by God to Moses to show nothing was abolished at Calvary. JESUS The greatest love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul and with all thy all thy mind. This is the first greatest commandment Matt 22:37-37
GIVEN TO MOSES BY GOD 1. I am the Lord thy God. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Ex.20:3 2. Thou shall not make into thee any graven image or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above or that is in the earth beneath or that is in the water under the earth; thou shalt not bow down thyself to them; For I The Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; and showing mercy unto thousand of them that love me and keep my Commandment EX 20:4-6 3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain. For the will not hold him guiltless that taketh His name in vain. Ex 20:7 4. Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God; in it thou shalt not do any work, nor thou neither thy son nor thy daughter, thy man servant, nor thy maid servant nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gate. For in six days the lord made heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them; and rested the seventh day: Therefore the Lord Blessed the Sabbath and hallowed it. Ex 20:8-11 JESUS And the second is like into it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On this two commandments hang all the law and prophets Mathew 22:39-40.
GIVEN TO MOSES BY GOD 5. Honour thy Father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord Thy God giveth thee. Exodus 20:20:12 6. Though shalt not Kill Exd 20:13 7. Though shalt not commit adultery Exd 20:14 8. Though shalt not steal Exd 20:15 9. Though shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor Exd 20:16 10. Though shalt not covet thy neighbours house, though shalt not covet thy neighbours wife, nor his manservants, maidservant nor his or ox nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbors. -Exd 20:17 The account above of both the Greatest and the Decalogue which were given by God here have been of very confusive to most Bible Teachers especially the application of Ten commandment in the Old Testament, Most of them say by Jesus giving the two greatest commandments the use of old Commandment was over; that is a lie since the Two commandment, real meaning is found in the Old commandment and that Jesus summarized them to show the Pharisees, scribes and other teachers of the law their hypocrisy and how they had gone against God.
For me, my pen is off. All I have written is according to the light God has given me. The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all His commandment are sure they stand fast forever and ever, and are done in truth and upright. -Psalms 111:7-8
