Sinestro stumbles forwards, to Parallax. He is unkempt and dirty. He has not slept for some time.

He gestures to his Corps. SINESTRO You bow before a false god? You worship something you do not understand? You follow this creature who wishes to spread fear? That is not our way! We exist to fight the Green Lanterns! We were created to kill the Guardians! Fear lives to destroy and conquer! But you would give that up? That goal? That dream?! And for what? To please this fallen deity!? You have given in to Rage! You have fallen to Greed! You kneel to Death! You search for Life! You bestow Compassion! You feel Love! And you prey for Hope! So do not bow to Fear! Do not bow to Parallax! Bow, instead, to me! Sinestro looks to the ground, questioning his motives. SINESTRO (whispering) I swore this day would not come... Sinestro opens his palm. The alien removes his power ring. He takes the ring in his hand, and slips it on a finger. Instantly, the yellow uniform on him turned to green. The symbol of the Sinestro Corps was replaced with that of the Green Lanterns. Sinestro scowls at his new attire before reciting the Oath. SINESTRO (walking forwards) In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evils might, beware my power, Green Lanterns light! Sinestro runs to face Parallax. He shoots a stream of green energy into the being. The power does nothing. SINESTRO Die! A yellow energy surrounds Sinestro. The alien is suddenly lifted into the air. He now sees the blinding yellow light for what it truly is. A demon, a giant insect-like creature made purely of yellow energy. A hideous outer shell protects the glowing silhouette of the Sinestro Corps symbol. The creature opens its mouth, its jaw unhinging. The monster speaks in a raspy, echoing whisper. PARALLAX What do you fear? The Sinestro Corps sees Sinestro shake and tremble in the air. He seems possessed. The alien screams as the words loss of power echoes across the planet. Sinestro screams! Yellow creeps up his face from the neck. Fear is consuming him. SINESTRO Bow... to me... Sinestro barely chokes out those words as his body becomes nothing but a yellow silhouette.

The yellow crumbles into dust, falling to the rock below. Thaal Sinestro is dead.
