SURE! AREN'T CHILDREN A BLESSING?

(A true story) Locked outside the school gate, I sat on the ground and observed what happened around me. I saw sweethearts gliding hand in hand and lying to each other in the name of romance. "you are as beautiful as a swan" said the boy. Giggling she replied,"you are as strong as an Ox" i silently wondered, do these idiots really believe each other? Then i heard a showoff bragging about how rich his family was yet he stood out with the rest that had been locked out for school fees debt. A couple of hunger stricken students passed me as they made their way home. Then all hell broke loose, foq without any sign, it started raining. People scattered fleeing like mice on sight of a cat. Many slipped, tripped or were knocked down. A light skinned tall girl fell and her dress

covered her head. The boys virtually stopped in their tracks, as they looked on with wide eyes and parted lips. As I calmly walked away, a teacher passed me and remarked, "To think that some people call children a blessing. They must be mad!"
