Launched by the second SLV-3 1983 developmental launch of SLV-3. 30 August Shuttle Identical to INSAT-1A. Served for more than 1983 [PAM-D] design life of seven years. Carried payload for launch vehicle 24 March ASLV performance monitoring and for gamma ray 1987 astronomy. Did not achieve orbit. 10 April 1982
