Narcotics/Vice Squad detectives report the arrest of a Brooklyn man for criminal possession of a forged instrument that occurred in Baldwin on Wednesday, 06/19/13 at 8:35 P.M. According to detectives, on 6/19/13 Derrick Savage, 45, of 2402 Atlantic Ave., presented a prescription in his name to be filled at Pathmark Pharmacy located at 1764 Grand Ave., calling for 90 Percocet pills. Additionally, on 7/05/13 the defendant presented two prescriptions to be filled for Percocet and Phenergan and on 07/27/13 one prescription for Percocet, all at the above listed pharmacy. The pharmacist notified police and the defendant was arrested at the scene on 07/27/13 at 7:50 P.M. Savage is being charged with four counts of Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree and will be arraigned on Sunday, 07/28/13 in First District Court, Hempstead.
