OMANTEL MW INSTALLATION GUIDELINE

1. D/N to be properly segregated with exact DN to be delivered at site. Equipment should not be mixed up. Complete details of leftover material to be provided at the end of activity. 2. The installation should be exactly according to Link Budget Provided. Care need to be taken in the b/m a. Dish Height (Margin 1m) b. ODU Polarization c. IF Cable Routing d. IF Cable Grounding e. Dish should be properly fixed with support installed. It shouldnt shake. 3. There should be extra IF cable length to be left. 2m to be rolled below the dish and 2m inside shelter on the cable tray. 4. IF Cable needs to be grounded at two places. One grounding needs to be connected approximately 2m below the ODU. Second grounding needs to connected at a distance of 2m from the feeder duct. 5. Proper routing of Cables (IF, Power, GND) to be ensured. 6. Note down the serial number of the ODU, Dish and IDU at every site. 7. Do not route the power cable and data cables together. They should be separately placed on the cable tray. 8. Duct is to be used where there is not cable tray available inside shelter. Separate ducts for power cables and data cables. 9. Labeling should be clear and readable. 10. Labels should be preset on ODU/IDU/IF/MW Dish that contain the information of Far end. E.g.: To Alzaiba_North 11. The RSL Level should be +2dbm lesser than that given in link budget. For example is the RSL in link budget is -37dbm, achieved RSL on site should be (-37+2= -35dbm). 12. Asset tags to be placed on every card and the chassis. 13. For powering up breakers can be between 16Amp to 20Amp. For RTN980 (Only) use a 25Amp Breaker.

14. Clear site after activity completion and make a complete list of the leftover equipment.
