HALL GREEN ARTS FESTIVAL 2013 POETRY COMPETITION

Why not have a go at writing a poem? It could be serious or silly, funny or sad. If you are between the ages of 5 and 17 and either live or go to school in B28 (ask an adult if you are not sure), you are invited to write a poem about WATER. Who knows, you could be the next Michael Rosen or Roald Dahl - so have a go, make up a poem, maybe it rhymes maybe it doesnt have a play with words and send us the results. All poems submitted will be published on the WeAreB28 website and winning poems will be published in a special booklet produced for the Arts Festival and winners will have the opportunity to read out their poem at the Festival launch Event on October 3rd. Entry into the competition is free and there will be book token prizes for the winners.

SCHOOL YEAR GROUP

Rules for competition 1. All poems must be received by 16th September 2013 either at Hall Green Library clearly marked Poetry Competition or via email to festival@weareb28.co.uk 2. Poems must be the work of the author. 3. Poems must be on the theme of WATER. 4. Each poem must state name of author, name of school and year group. 5. All poems to be submitted on an A4 sized piece of paper. The judges decision will be final.
