Autism/ABA Therapy Benefit


As the first major corporation to offer a benefit for autism therapy,
Microsoft provides coverage for lifelong Applied Behavior Analysis
(ABA) therapy for dependent children whose primary diagnosis is
autism or a related disorder.

On-site Health Screenings and Flu Shots
Microsoft pays for flu shots and health screenings, including on-campus
appointments each year.
Ergonomics Program
The Microsoft Ergonomics Program provides ergonomic furniture, tools,
and resources for a healthy, comfortable environment.
Peak Health
Peak Health is an advanced, personalized health screening using the latest
in medical technology to provide a complete, detailed baseline of current
health and risk factors.
Smoking Cessation
The Free & Clear Tobacco Cessation program is a telephone-based support
program to help employees and adult family members quit smoking.
Weight Management Benefit
Microsoft’s weight management program provides medical oversight,
individual counseling with a registered dietician,
and personal fitness training and ongoing support.

Savings and Investments


401(k) Plan
Defer up to 50% of your pre-tax salary dollars. Microsoft matches
50 cents on every dollar up to 6% of your contribution. You
can also contribute to a Roth 401(k) Plan on an
after-tax basis.

Employee Stock
Purchase Plan (ESPP)
Microsoft makes it easy for employees to become shareholders through its
ESPP program, which features a 10% discount on the purchase price.

Family Programs
Paid Maternity and Parental Leave
At Microsoft, new mothers are eligible for 20 weeks off following childbirth:
12 weeks paid at 100% of base salary. This time off is available immediately
upon hire.
Parental Leave is available for new fathers and employees who care for a newly
adopted child or newly placed foster child. Parental Leave may be taken for up
to 12 weeks, with 4 weeks paid at 100% of base salary.
Adoption Assistance
Microsoft reimburses up to $5,000 per child for adoption related expenses.
Childcare Discounts
Tuition discounts of 20% are available with nationwide providers for infants
through school-age children.
Family Backup Care
This nationwide program provides center-based or in-home care services when
you experience a temporary breakdown in your normal care arrangements.
Resource and Referral Service
Free referral services are available to assist you with decisions regarding child
care, elder care, and parenting.
