Flash Objects

When you insert a Flash movie into a document, Dreamweaver uses both the object tag (defined
by Microsoft Internet Explorer for ActiveX controls) and the embed tag (defined by Netscape
Navigator) to get the best results in all browsers. When you make changes in the Property
inspector for the movie, Dreamweaver maps your entries to the appropriate parameters for both
the object and embed tags. To see an example of a flash movie, look below.

Note: To insert flash objects, you need to have already created a flash movie or object. To learn
how to use Macromedia Flash MX, look at the Intermediate Computer Standard # 9.

Step 1:

• Having a flash movie already created, click your cursor where you want your insertion
point to be.
• On the standard toolbar click the insert tab.
• Move your mouse down to media, and when the media tab opens, click the flash option
Step 2:

• When the dialog box opens, navigate to you where your file is then click the open button.

Step 3:

• After you open your flash document, you can set the alignment on the properties
inspector at the bottom of the page.
