28th Ward Alderman Lyda Krewson has proposed an ordinance

in the City of St. Louis that bans smoking nearly everywhere.

Smoking would be banned in:

• All restaurants, bars, bowling alleys, casinos, pool & bingo halls
• Private clubs & organizations (VFW, union halls etc.)
• Work vehicles, trucks, machinery and parking garages
• Current designated smoking areas in workplaces and job sites

Penalties: $500 fines and liquor license revocation!

To STOP this ban, owners, staff & patrons must call today!

Lyda Krewson & Board of Aldermen: (314) 622-3287
Board of Alderman President Lewis Reed (314) 622-4114  reedl@stlouiscity.com

The Illinois Licensed Beverage Association & the Illinois Casino Gaming Association say the
Illinois smoking ban hurts bars across the state and drastically cuts casino revenues. Federal
Reserve economist Dr. Michael Pakko says the Columbia MO smoking ban cut the overall
restaurant trade 3.5 percent, restaurants that serve alcohol 6.5 percent, and bars 11 percent!
Such losses can mean economic ruin for hospitality workers supporting families!

Don’t let this happen to St. Louis!
