Based on Kamus Dewan (1994), motivation means a strong desire within oneself that encourages him or her to do something with the aim to achieve success.

Wanns opinion (adopted from Shaharudin,The application of psychology theory in sport, 2001) is that motivation is an individual rising process to get what he or she wants. For example, an athlete can achieve success through hardworking and a strong motivation from his or her coach.

1. Practice wants-to-learn attitude and never give up improving his or herself as an athlete. Avoid such feeling of knows everything instead learn more.
2. Practice positive thinking to avoid nervous during competition events. Always said, yes! I can.

3. One must have goal in sport. For example, wants to be a district representative, then to state level and at the same time have a desire to represent his or her country in future.

4. Avoid the nervous feeling during the competition. This can be done by doing stimulation training session as he or she will compete in a real event.

5. Discipline is the most important, where he or she can control over herself or himself from doing such nonsense action when facing difficulties or doing mistakes. Avoid the use of drug for it can destroy athletes career.
