In the daytime it's so loud I feel I'm blotted out by the noise and glare.

But at night it's all so quiet, I know God hears my prayer.

And He shows me around the Universe I can ride on the Milky Way. I can watch the golden moon rise And hope it has come there to stay.

So if your days are loud and weary And you feel you can not be heard, Wait for the night, my deary, When God hears the tiniest bird.

My Savior, hear my prayer Before I go to rest; It is Your little child Who comes now to be blest.

Forgive me all my sin, And let me sleep this night In safety and in peace Until the morning light.

Guardian Angels around my bed Joining me in my prayers; They hush the shadows when they dance about They shoo away the bears.

Guardian Angels around my bed Standing by till I rise. Theres one with shining wings who holds my hand And shows me Paradise!

Now I lay me down to sleep; I pray Thee Lord, my soul to keep. Thy Love guard me through the night, And wake me with the morning bright!
