To look at the benefits of home made skin care, in a print based publication highlighting its accessibility to women in households throughout a do it your self manor.

For my project I will be looking into organic skin care that is simple and easy to make your self from general house hold ingredients. I wish to do this is a simplistic yet eye catching publication, so it is easy to follow and pleasing to the eye. It will link similarities to a cook book, with its step by step guids and photography.

1. BROWN SUGAR Brown Sugar is more than just a sweet treat, when used as part of a skin care routine it is a very useful exfoliater and it is gentle and not to abrasive on the skin mixing with lemon or even a little of your favourite cleanser. SOAP 2. This is one of the most basic forms of skin care and most well known, while good for the body it can be very drying on the face. As it strips your face of all natural oil leaving it dry and dehydrated. 3. EXTRA VIRGIAN OLIVE OIL Olive Oil has been used for skin care for hundreds of years. It is a key ingredient in many up market skin care brands. In addition to being natural and hypoallergenic it also provides strong antioxidants like Vitamins A and E. Best used for moisturiser more dry skin and makeup remover.

5. AVOCADO The avocado is a necessity when it comes to DIY skin care as it is vary versatile. It is rich in vitamins and good fats making it especially good for dry skin. SUKIN 6. A natural skin care brand, that sends a similar message as my publication.

7. COTTON PADS A usful tool for skin care mainly used for application of toner and eye makeup remover.

MIRROR 4. A staple in most bathrooms for self viewing Vanity prepossess.

What is your work trying to communicate? Though my work I wish to introduce people into a cheap and environmentally friendly skin care routine to show that good skin care does not have to coast the earth or the earth itself. I will do this in a simplistic easy to follow design, similar to cook books. How did you decide on this approach? Beauty and skin care has all ways been of interest to me and for my final year project i wish to combine this with my design skills to help guide and influence others. How have you explored this approach? Looking and many publications, magazines, web and blogs Who else within a design content operated in a similar visual medium?
