A New Diagnosis

Filthy animals,
greedy cannibals,
future's uncertain,
Earth's curse,
flesh colored mammals,
ourselves,
a great burden.
Never able to personify,
our race only urged,
to multiply.
Empathy, sympathy,
an avoided,
needed religion,
never incited to action,
maybe later,
the great procrastinator,
indecision,
the crack junkie within,
an uneasy feeling,
put off healing,
our patience wearing thin.
For things that are natural.
For accepting the factual,
the actual,
destruction,
corruption,
and eventual submission,
dished out for us,
ourselves a bust,
the hopelessly,
willfully numb.
