Later versions of the console (Sega Multi-Mega/CDX, Sega Mega Jet/Nomad, JVC Wondermega/XEYE, etc.) were based off of this models internals. No RF modulator (no RF out, single wire audio/video). Large motherboard revisions: VA0, VA1, VA1.8, VA2, VA2.3. Small motherboard revisions: VA3, VA4. All versions of the Model 2 have audio similar to a VA7 Sans-High Definition Graphics Model 1. The smaller motherboard revisions sound somewhat better than the larger motherboard revisions. The audio quality of Model 2 consoles can be corrected with heavy modification. Search for Crystal Clear Audio Mod by Tiido/TmEE. Look through the vents on the bottom of the console to determine the size of the motherboard.
