What is Character? Who are you and why do you act that way? Character is...

your features/attitudes can be negative or positive: snobbish, picky, harsh, bossy, rude, self-centered, sneaky, sarcastic, bully, an gry, vulgar, unreliable, troublemaker, greedy, lying, argumenative, cruel, arrog ant, stubborn, disruptive, uncontrolled. thankful, sincere, trustworthy, fair, polite, honest, responsible, grateful, pos itive, reliable, caring, patient, friendly, peaceful, giving, gentle, faithful, compassionate, helpful, cooperative, respectful, encouraging. How is character built? It's built on motives behind your actons towards yourself, others, animals, and the environment. Facts: Everyone has character. Character traits are learned behaviors, meaning you have to do them over and ove r before it becomes part of your personality. Character traits are habit forming- a pattern of thinking, speaking, and acting. You can't buy character. You can't change your character by what you wear. You are not born with character. Good character (virtue) is universal: helpfulness, caring, loyalty, self-discipl ine, understanding, forgiveness, sharing, responsibility, courteousness, thankfu lness, fairness, honesty, kindness, self-respect, trustworthiness. Who chooses your character? YOU! The choices you make build your character. You are responsible for the choi ces you make to build your character. That is how you gain experience and form c haracter habits. No one becomes a good person by chance. We have to learn virtue .
