If youre a Malaysian (or are familiar with happenings in Malaysia), youll probably k now about the recent issue of the Malaysian government blocking access to file s haring sites such as ThePirateBay, MegaUpload, and some others. While some peopl e may agree that ThePirateBay should be blocked due to its ability to help folks get hold of pirated content, MegaUpload is a commonly used tool by many people, not to mention businesses too, to share large files, so this isnt a very smart mo ve. Fortunately the solution isnt too hard, though youll need to get your hands a little dirty. Thanks the Google DNS, you can use a public DNS instead of what Unifi/St reamyX is offering you. Google suggests that you use 8.8.8.8 (primary) and 8.8.4 .4 (secondary) for your DNS servers (and this works for me), though some folks t ell me that it should be 202.188.0.133 (primary, Streamyxs) and 8.8.8.8 (secondary ), but it doenst seem to work for me, though you might want to experiment on your own. There are 2 places where you can change it: 1) On your router, which should solv e the issues on all your computers on the network, or 2) on each individual comp uter.
