Civil Engineer Intern


United States Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) - Baltimore, MD - February 2009 to July 2009 Created foundation design for a building addition at the Walter Reed Medical Center. Constructed an ARCGIS boring log database for the Popular Island Restoration Project. Inspected levees and dams along western Maryland for safety and stability. Completed numerous geotechnical design exercises, covering bearing capacity and footing analysis. Oversaw casing installation and testing at Fort Detrick, MD.

Transportation Planning & Geotechnical Engineering Intern


Rummel, Klepper & Kahl (RK&K) - Baltimore, MD - June 2007 to August 2007 Finalized the Odenton MARC Parking Garage Feasibility Study and produced all cost estimates. Analyzed impacts of current 2030 traffic forecasts against an I-270/US 85 Interchange design. Edited transportation planning design files and coordinated with multiple CADD operators. Supervised ATV auguring, led test pit sampling, and measured pH levels for over 20 soil samples. Collected inclinometer readings at the WWB site to determine retaining wall displacement.
