Narrative text/essay

Definition

Narrative essays are told from a defined point of view, often the authors, so theres a feeling as well as specific and often sensory details to get the reader involved in the elements and sequences of the story. Narrative can also mean a construct created in a suitable format that describes a sequence of fictional events.

The form of narrative text

Orientation explains about the characters or settings. It will answer your questions about who, where, what, and when. Evaluation (Optional) explains the narrators point of view. Complication explains where a crisis or a problem arises in which the main character attempts to solve it.

Resolution explains where the problems can be solved. In narrative text, the tense used is past tense.
