Closure: (15 minutes)

Have students answer questions regarding extended facts. What kind of patterns do they see? What do they have to remember when multiplying or dividing the facts? What do you do with the zeros? Have the students complete one extended fact problem process on a half sheet of paper for an exit slip. The problem will be on the board, and they will just have to write the answer for each part. NOT COPY DOWN THE PROBLEM.
Objective one will be assessed when I evaluate the student respones and the answers provided on the exit slip. Objective two will be assessed when I evaluate the student's exit slips. The guided mathematics groups will be broken up homogeneously. This way the students will be at the same level when getting the lesson. The lower groups will work with me first in order to make sure that they get the time they need. The higher groups should be able to catch on quickly, so they will not need as much time (they may not need the paint strips either). For independent work, some students may need assistance, so they will be able to work with a partner or with a support teacher that is present during math
