REFLECTION

With my interview with Ms. Sandra, I realized the teaching special children takes effort and patience. It is not easy dealing with this kind of students. In relation to the topic instructional materials, it is very important that you provide these students with an appropriate materials fit for their disability. In dealing with children with autism, tactile materials are very important knowing they have an eye coordination problem, they can t focus on one thing, so these PECS and flashcards would be very helpful specially if youre going to teach them about basic skills. Ive also learned that time is very important so is patience, in making the instructional materials for these kids, you need to do and make it ahead of time to make sure theyll be very useful when the time comes, and preserving these materials would be a great help for your next students.
