Ware County Student Council Application Packet

Ware County Student Council is an organization dedicated to the development of student leaders. Our goal is to increase student involvement and school spirit and to showcase student talent. Interested in Getting Involved? Become a Class Officer for your grade level. President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer will be involved in the planning of the class project as well as other Student Council events. Campaigning will begin August 19th. or Become a Homeroom Representative for your Homeroom class. Representatives will be in charge of relaying information from the council to their homeroom class as well as helping with all student council projects. Campaigning will begin August 26 th. (If you run for a class office and are not elected, you may then run for your homeroom representative, if you so choose. If you would like to do this, mark BOTH the Class Office of your choice AND TAA representative) CLASS PROJECTS Seniors- Homecoming Dance Juniors- Prom Sophomores- MORP Dance Freshmen- SPED Connection

Qualifications for Class Officers and Homeroom (TAA) Representative: 1. Must have the potential for good leadership skills as determined by faculty/administration. 2. Must have passed all classes the previous semester and have an overall average of 80 or above. 3. Must be on track for graduation. 4. Must turn in a completed application. Homeroom Representative Responsibilities Communicate information to homeroom. Participate in at least 2 Student Council projects per month. Attend all Council meetings. Promote school spirit. Participate in Class Project Class Officer Responsibilities Class Project Committee Member (Budget, Organize, Promote ) Communicate ideas and information with classmates. Promote Class Spirit (Class t-shirt, pep rally props, cheers) Attend all Council Meetings Participate in at lease 2 Student Council projects per month. SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS In addition to these duties, you will be charged with the responsibility of organizing your class reunions.
