Single Site Verification

The objective of SSV is to verify

Coverage (RSCP & EcIo) Scrambling codes No installation faults Make test calls

A presentation by; Olugbenga Usman

Coverage
CPICH RSCP & EcIo describe the cell coverage area
Good RSCP & Good EcIo imply Good coverage Poor RSCP & Poor EcIo imply Poor Coverage

Good RSCP & Poor EcIo imply strong interference

Scrambling Codes
The scrambling code check verify
that the actual SC is assigned to the cell SC is not shifted from one cell to the other in the same site that there are no adjacent cells with the same SC causing SC confusion Swapped sector problem caused by crossed feeder cable

Installation Faults
Single site verification verify installation faults which might result in
Low power Fluctuating power Swapped sector

Also, improper parameter setting can lead to missing neighbour problem

Test calls
Test calls are performed to verify the proper operation of the Circuit switch and the Packet Switch domain; The voice, video and packet service are checked through;
Voice call Video call Packet Service call
R99(Downlink & Uplink) HSPA(Downlink & Uplink)
