    Students' Socialist Society

    The issue is Socialism versus Capitalism. I am for Socialism because I am for humanity. We have been cursed with the reign of gold long enough - Eugene V. Debs, 1897

    Who are we?


    The Students' Socialist Society is an open space for radical, left wing political thought, run by and for McGill students. While not all members identify as socialist or communist, the idea is to create a stimulating environment for political discussions on social justice issues, from a left wing point of view. Socialist McGill rejects any and all forms of authoritarianism and totalitarianism, and promotes equality and democracy for all.

    What do we do?
    This is the current calendar for our events this term. Feel free to contact us for more information on our organisation or activities (or just come to a meeting!).
    January : Quebec Nationalism Discussion February 5th: Relevance of Trade Unionism Discussion February 28th: Pub night March 15th: film screening TBD: conference with a McGill professor!
