    To access the public folder on campus, launch Finder and connect to the server fileserve1 by entering the server address afp://fileserve1, then enter credentials if prompted to connect to the public folder. When off campus, access the public folder through the Redgate website by logging in with CWID and password at https://redgate.qatar-med.cornell.edu/dana-na/ where Fileserve1 can be found and files in the public folder downloaded.

    How to Access the Public Folder on or off campus

    On Campus: Access the Public Folder on Fileserve1


    Launch the Finder
    from the Dock

    Trace from Go on the menu bar to Connect to


    Server

    On Campus: Access the Public Folder on Fileserve1

    At Server Address: type afp://fileserve1 Click Connect

    On Campus: Access the Public Folder on Fileserve1


    Type your CWID and password, if prompted Click Connect

    On Campus: Access the Public Folder on Fileserve1


    Select Public Click OK

    On Campus: Access the Public Folder on Fileserve1


    View contents of Public folder Drag folder or document to your machine, if required

    Off Campus: Access Public Folder via Redgate


    When you are off campus, you can access the
    Public folder via a browser at: auth/url_default/welcome.cgi
