HORRY COUNTY PROBATION, PAROLE OFFICE TO HONOR 15TH CIRCUIT SOLICITORS OFFICE
Conway - The Horry County office of the SC Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services will recognize the 15 th Circuit Solicitors office with the Law Enforcement Partnership Award for Outstanding Service. The presentation ceremony will take place Thursday, Aug. 22 on the front steps of the Old Courthouse located at 1201 Third Ave Conway, SC 29526. The time will be 10 a.m. Solicitor Jimmy Richardson II, members of Solicitor's Office staff, the Horry County Probation Office staff and the Horry County Legislative Delegation have been invited. We wanted to recognize the 15th Circuit Solicitors Office for their assistance in helping our office and improving the criminal justice system for the taxpayers of Horry County, said Horry County Agent-in-Charge Scott Herrington. Without their assistance, the smooth operation of our office would be impossible. The S.C. Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services Horry County staff of 14 Agents is charged with supervising nearly 2,000 criminal offenders. The agency is responsible for enforcing the states GPS tracking of sex offenders and implementation of the Ignition Interlock program for those convicted of DUI 2 nd and above. Agents of the department are also an active part of the states emergency operations, hurricane evacuation and homeland security law enforcement operations.
