he served as my communications intern in the Indiana House of Representatives. I would like to take this opportunity to recommend Matt for full-time employment with your organization. Matt is an ideal employee because of his strong organizational skills and his calm demeanor. As a communications intern, Matt was responsible for writing press releases, columns, newsletters and informational handouts for the eight State Representatives on our caseload. In order to best serve our legislators, Matt worked with me on developing task charts which included priority items that needed completion by the end of each day. Organizing each days tasks helped the legislators on our caseload fulfill their media obligations. The State Legislature is a demanding, fast-paced environment, but Matt always maintained a calm and professional demeanor. Even in crisis situations, he handled himself with remarkable poise. Matt was given a high-volume workload, but he always thrived under pressure. His consummate professionalism and organizational skills served as a model for other interns to follow.
