STONE AGE about 2 million BCE to 3000 BCE all weapons and tools were only made of stone pre-historic (writing was not yet present) OLD STONE (Paleolithic) AGE MIDDLE STONE (Mesolithic) AHE NEW STONE (Neolithic) AGE

PALEOLITHIC
400,000 BCE - 8000 BCE tools and weapons they hunted and fished fire and stone skills were enhanced they had religious rituals based on nature language was developed (signals and sounds)

MESOLITHIC
between Old Stone and New Stone Age graduals domestication of animals and plants (like dogs) formation of settled communities (sedentary life) hunting, fishing, food gathering pottery was done and bows were used

NEOLITHIC
around 8000 BCE food gathering changed to producing (farming / agriculture) hunters became herders (domestication) the early humans made better tools (polished) pots and jars were used the people lived in permanent dwellings and had tribes and villages eventually

NEOLITHIC
village government priests were made rulers (theocracy) religious rituals were still based on nature lands were owned domestication was done economy was improved (trade of goods) social structure was present (workers, rulers) religion was also present

NEOLITHIC
started at different times in different places of the world Mesopotamia (Fertile Crescent / Iraq), China, Americas, Africa (Egypt), Europe and India (Indus Valley) This period was a turning point in our history because it gave way for the formation of cities which eventually turn into the first civilizations of the world that make up who we are today.
