WHAT WE HID IN THE NIGHT Ill tell a tale of death and woe, A tale of songs and sorrows, Of cities

and ashes, Of what we made, Of what we saw, Of what we brought into this world, Of what we hid in the night, When the days were long and the nights were short. When death was a thing of myth, And sorrow a fading dream, We sought to pierce the sky, But the sun would melt our wings, We tested our potions on happy folk, And kept the world content, But a shadow of evil came upon the land, And brought forth the Darkness, We fought the darkness with all our might, But it overcame all of our light, It rained the fires of doom, And brought forth an eternal night. Lives were lost, And our people were paining, We gathered our might, And created It, It was subtle, It was silent, It was spoken and cunning, It was life, It was death, It was Magic, It overcame the darkness, But brought forth a light, That created a shadow, It had to end, We stopped all production, We called ground control, We gathered it up, And hid it in the ground, It lay there today, Forever slumbering, Awaiting the time,
