The christmas day represents the most popular celebration of the year, both of United States of America and

Venezuela. In both nations, the scheme is the same: everybody feels the spirit of the age: it is on the air. It is like the people feelings of rage, hate and envy were to take a break, and the persons act like the love and peace in the earth were much more than a promise that nobody listens to. The smallest of the house are who look forward to the date with more joy. The kids wait the day 24, with the faith about the fact of having their presents underneath the christmas tree. This is a fact as good in the Unites States as in Venezuela. It seems like the main mesagge of the holiday is less important today. The birth of Christ and the coming of the King of Peace to the world, is ignored at the side of the gifts, capitalism, and ornaments, this is more notable in the North. There is a tradition known as Santa Claus, a fat man that delivers the presents underneath the evergreen christmas tree to the good kids, and lefts nothing to the bad ones. In Venezuela, this character exists under the denomination Nio Jess. Here in Venezuela, we got a dinner with our family, and we eat foods of the age such as hayacas, by example. Instead, in the north, they doesnt got characteristic foods, but they do foods as good as ours, and the important about all of that is the message of union and love that the Lord left us.
