Cardiac Arrest Outline

What is cardiac arrest and are you prone to it? Is cardiac arrest the same as a heart attack? How to prevent a cardiac arrest?
*My grandmother had inspired me to do my final project about cardiac arrest. She passed away this summer and this slide show is dedicated to her. I hope that through educating others, peoples grandmother will not pass away due to cardiac arrest.

Your Under Arrest!

Cardiac arrest in simpler terms mean your heart stops for good. But in a more medical term it is when there is abnormality in the heart beat called arrhythmias. Cardiac arrest can occur to anyone of race, gender, occupation and so forth. However, minorities communities such as Afro American or Hispanics are more prone.

To Be the Same or Not to Be?

Cardiac arrest is when the heart stops but in a heart attack there is a lack of blood flow to the heart. Hence doing Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on a individual allows the persons blood to go to the heart.

LIFESTYLE is the answer. My grandmother did not do any physical activity and only ate lots of sweets and salty food. She could not work out because of her bad back and she could not eat healthy because she had no denture (fake teeth). We can say poor grandma. Thats nice but it would be better if we can change our lifestyle. CUT down on those trans fat and go for lean meat.
