Abstract The temperature drop of oil-gas gathering pipelines is mainly related to pressure drop and coefficient of
overall heat transmission. The instability of flow along pipelines and the varieties of flow pattern lead to many differences in calculation ways of pressure drop. After taking into account the influence of the average gas ratio and
Joule-Thomson effect on temperature drop, three mathematical models of oil-gas two-phase flow were established
in the oil-gas gathering pipelines. The Baker flow pattern was adopted for evaluating oil-gas two-phase flow. It indicated that the result Cp in Hl is superior to the result from in Xwg and could increase the calculation accuracy of
temperature drop of oil-gas two-phase flow.
