Jones Jungle Journal Picture Day August 29th!!

Math This week, we learned about equality and what an equals sign is. We learned that numbers on opposite sides of an equals sign should be worth the same amount. We learned to make circle drawings instead of drawing pictures of objects to solve a math problem. We also practiced finding a missing total of a math problem. Literacy This week, we continued our Letterland lessons. We practiced words with an, am, and ck. ing, we wrote to our Tour Guide of the Week, Ethan. We also wrote stories about our first day of school to practice writing in sequence.

Box Tops Lunch Our lunch is from 11:15-11:45 every day. We are continuing to collect Box Tops this year to earn money for our school. Please send in any you may have! We would love to collect the most money! Composition Notebooks If you are still in need, I received an email from a parent stating that they were able to find primary composition notebooks at Ladders Teaching Store on the corner of Davis Drive and Morrisville-Carpenter.

Please make sure to join Carpenters PTA! Our PTA does a lot to help our school community!! There is also a competition for the class with the highest participation. That class could win an in-class science field trip. This is a great opportunity for our class!!
