Welcome To Miss Janickes Fourth Grade Class

India Hook Elementary 2013-2014

Dear Parents, Welcome to Miss Janickes fourth Grade Class! Just a little information about me: I was born and raised here in Rock Hill; I graduated from Northwestern High School. I earned my Bachelors Degree from the College of Charleston and Masters Degree from Columbia College. This is my 18th year of teaching, my

fifth year at India Hook and third in fourth grade. I absolutely love coming to work each morning. Teaching is such a rewarding job, and I am very passionate about what I do. I want your childs day and year to be engaging and meaningful, as well as enjoyable. This year will be filled with many new experiences as we navigate the national common core standards in math, writing and reading while integrating brand new technology one-to-one using IPads daily! If you have any questions please feel free to e-mail me, as I will be checking my school account frequently. (tjanicke@rhmail.org) I will be sending a packet home with your child the first week of school with information on classroom procedures, volunteer opportunities, and grading guidelines, as well as other tidbits of information that will help make our year together run as smoothly as possible. Also I encourage you to check our class web site daily to see all of the amazing adventures we go on at http://janicke4.weebly.com/ I am looking forward to a WONDERFUL year! Sincerely,

Tonya D. Janicke
