Academics: ELA: The story for the week is The Legend of Damon and Pythias. Genre: a play. Comprehension Strategy: Asking
Questions. Vocabulary Strategy: Apposition (a word or group of words define another word in the same sentence.) A text will be sent out via Remind101 the night before the test and your child will bring home the story to re-read for homework. Spelling and vocabulary words will be practiced in class and a text will go out prior to the test date, along with notification in the planner and on our classroom website.

Math: Chapter 1: Place Value. Students will be able to read, write, and identify place value through thousands
place. All math homework is returned the following school day for lesson review.
