Engineering and Design


Highly proficient in the use of Solidworks to design, model, analyze, and refine mechanical systems. Trained in the use of MATLAB, Maple, and other similar software used for performing engineering analysis tasks.

Fabrication and Repair

A lifetime of experience working with mechanical systems in the context of automobile repair and restoration, bicycle repair and restoration, rough and finish carpentry, etc.

Leadership

Served as President of the Technology Student Association from 2006-2007 Served as Vice President of the RoboUtes Student Robotics Club from 2012-2013

SERVICE

Representative of the University of Utah at the 2013 RASC-AL Robo-Ops Forum at NASAs Johnson Space Center, fielder of a competition robot, and presenter at the poster session. Recipient of the National Merit Scholarship in 2007. Recipient of the Buick Achievers Scholarship in 2012, and again in 2013. Recipient of the Marriott Library Emeritus Librarian Scholarship in 2013.

Community advocate for public education in science and mathematics through various outreach activities undertaken with the RoboUtes. Newsletter Editor for the Bonneville Buick Club, a local social club and charitable organization.

Responsible for processing incoming manuscript collections, which involves interpreting, organizing, and inventorying materials so that they may be made available to the public. 2009 to 2011

Formsetter The Layton Companies

Responsible for the erection of concrete formwork, concrete placement, and concrete finishing for structural footings, walls, columns, and slabs.
