    Detectives from the Nassau County Police Department arrested Keith Shippey, 24, of Freeport for three counts of burglary in the second degree. Shippey was observed on the street and wanted in connection with an April 29th burglary on Davison Avenue where he left DNA evidence. An investigation also linked him to burglaries on April 19th on Noon Place and another on August 27th on Westend Avenue. He was charged with the three burglary counts and will be arraigned on August 28th. Additionally, stolen property was found in Shippey's vehicle, resulting in another charge of criminal possession of stolen property.

    First Squad detectives report the arrest of a Freeport man for Burglaries that occurred in Freeport. According to detectives, Keith Shippey, 24, of 131 Branch Avenue was placed under arrest by First Precinct officers when he was observed on S. Bayview Avenue and Atlantic Avenue, Freeport. Shippey was wanted by detectives in connection with a Davison Avenue Burglary that occurred on April 29, 2013. During the break in, Shippey left DNA evidence where a subsequent match was made. An investigation by detectives revealed that Shippey was responsible for two other Burglaries, one occurring at a Noon Place residence on April 19, 2013 and another on August 27, 2013 at a Westend Avenue home. The defendant is charged with three (3) counts of Burglary 2 nd Degree and will be arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on August 28, 2013. Details by: Det.
