Story Learning
Kia Ora/ As salamu alaykum Ebado, I was in the classroom during a free play session and very interested in watching you Ebado being diligently reading a big book 'I'm a butterfly' which was placed on nature corner in the classroom. I then approached you, and you suddenly showed me 'teacher look' while hand showing a picture of a large cocoon. Then I asked you, "what's that, Ebado?" and you said "wooww its big" while pointing your finger to the picture. Then I said "it is butterfly cocoon", and you were very eagerly looking at the picture. You looked so amazed at the picture and showed your interest to explore the next pages of the book.

Recognising the learning

Ebado, you show a good evidence of belonging strand with dispositions of courage and curiosity when you attentively looked at the big book of the butterfly life cycle. Your curiosity is shown from your interest to continue exploring the other pictures in next pages of the book.

What next?
Looking at your interest in books, we will provide you more activities like group reading with friends. This will allow you to share with your friends and enrich your knowledge and interest in the nature. Your interest in books will continue to guide our planning and setup of indoor environment.
