    COMPLEX SENTENCES (Exercise 3): a) In the following sentences, put square brackets around each clause and indicate

    above it, whether it is a adverb clause (AC) or an independent clause (IC). b) Add punctuation where necessary. c) Do not add new words or create new sentences.

    AC IC e.g.: [While dogs chase cats,] [cats chase mice.] 1. As long as anyone can remember the weather has been freezing cold. 2. Canadians like their morning coffee while the British seem to prefer tea. 3. You will have no chance of getting a job as an editor until you have learned your grammar. 4. Pavlovs dogs salivated whenever they heard a bell. 5. Because this class meets only once a week the quizzes will be treated as take-home assignments. 6.
