Murray State University 45th Anniversary/ Summer Reunion
The Gamma Upsilon Chapter of Sigma Pi fraternity will mark its 45th anniversary with a reunion on campus. More than 200 guests are expected to attend the celebration weekend, which will be held on July 19-20, 2013. The reunion weekend will feature receptions and tours to reacquaint alumni with campus. That evening guest will attend an awards banquet followed by individual and chapter pictures. On Saturday, guest are invited to participate in a Golf Scramble followed by a pizza lunch at the Miller Golf Course Pavillion catered by Sigma Pi alumni Terry Griffin of Pizza Festa and Peter Dirks of Whiffle Boys Pizza. That afternoon there will be an actives vs. alumni softball game followed by a Reunion Dinner at Holmes Family Restaurant at 6:30 pm. The Gamma Upsilon Chapter was chartered on the campus of Murray State University in 1968. Delta-Eta Pledge Class

This spring we initiated the Delta-Eta pledge class. They are Matt Jones, Rob Wilmoth, Ian Ashmore, and Caleb Ellis. Matt is a Economics major from Franklin, Kentucky. Rob is an Elementary Education major from Louisville, Kentucky. Ian Ashmore is from Madisonville, Kentucky and is an Occupational Safety and Health major. Caleb is from Henderson, Kentucky and is a PreVet/Biology major. We are happy to have four great men and look forward to a great rush in the fall!

Spring 2013 Events

This spring we participated in multiple sorority philanthropy events. We are proud to say that Davis Powers won the tater-tot eating contest for the Alpha Sigma Alpha philanthropy, teeter-for-tots. For this spring we held a faculty appreciation dinner for our ACE project. It was a great success with near 130 people participating. We would also like to congratulate brothers Adam David, Ian Ashmore, Matt Jones, Tony Keene, and Aaron Rowland for making the Dean's List.
