JD/MPPA MASTER OF PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE IN ACCOUNTING
Students with an interest in taxation can earn both their law degree and a Master of Professional Practice in Accounting through a concurrent degree program offered by the College of Law and the College of Business Administration. Students admitted to the program can earn both degrees within three academic years. Concurrent degree students begin their studies with the standard rst year curriculum of the College of Law. In the summer following their rst year, students will take federal income taxation and an elective course. A second academic year of specialized courses and electives, includes an externship for credit that will offer eld experience in tax accounting. Students will then complete a third year of study and earn both the law degree and the Master of Professional Practice in Accounting in the spring.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION

A baccalaureate degree in accounting or equivalent coursework and admission to the JD program are requirements for consideration of the joint degree. Full requirements for JD admission can be found on the law college website at law.onu.edu
