Health Levels

Level 0 – Unvaccinated or vaccination history unknown

and/or not documented.

Level 1 – (Un-weaned – 1 round)

Un-weaned calves with one round of shots either at grass turnout,
branding, or two to four weeks prior to weaning. Recommended
shots: 7-Way Clostridial (Vision 7) and 5-Way Viral (Vista 5)
*Producer must indicate if 5-Way Viral is killed or modified-live.

Level 2 – (Un-weaned – 2 rounds)

Unweaned calves with two rounds of shots.
First round of shots given at branding or grass turnout
Consisting of 7-Way Clostridial and 5-Way Viral Vaccine.
(Pasturella optional) Second round of shots at Two to four weeks
prior to weaning consisting of 7-Way Clostridial vaccine booster
and 5-Way Viral vaccine with Pasturella booster. *Producer must
indicate if 5-Way Viral is killed or modified-live.

Level 3 – (Weaned 21 days – 1 or 2 rounds)

Weaned calves with minimum Level 1 or 2 requirements with a
minimum 21 day wean. No post-weaning vaccinations are given. *
Producer must indicate if 5-Way Viral is killed or modified-live.

Level 4 – (Weaned 45 days – 3 rounds)

Minimum 45 day weaned calves with minimum of Level 2
qualifications plus a required modified live 5-Way Viral vaccine
booster post-weaning.
