    CSWE III MODULE A LO1 CAN DEMONSTRATE UNDERSTANDING OF A SPOKEN INFORMATION TEXT

    LISTENING: A FIRE TALK CSWE III Workbook Warmer: Review vocabulary from previous lesson on Natural Disasters. Write the word FIRE on the board and ask students to brainstorm as many words as they can to do with fire. This can be either: _______________ FIRE _______________ e.g. fireman, firemen _______________ or any other words that dont contain the word fire. Listening: This listening will be used for evidence so no vocabulary will be pretaught. The listening from beginning to end will take 20 minutes. a) b) c) d) e) Hand out worksheet and give students three minutes to look through it and check any unknown vocabulary in their dictionaries. Listening 1 Give students four minutes to check their answers and fill in any information. Play tape for the second time. Give students whatever time is left out of the total 20 minutes to complete.

    End Task: In groups of four, get students to discuss what a safe workplace should be like. Get feedback.
