Yamin usually enjoys solitary play. Today I saw him in the family corner playing alongside his sister. I noticed him looking through the dress up clothes and arranging them. While he was arranging the clothes, he found one for himself. He selected the green robe for himself. So he decided to try it on. With little bit of help from his sister, he was able to put on the dress. He was pretending to be dad. He sure looked handsome.

Review of learning: Its great to see Yamin participating in variety of activities, exploring the environment and learning alongside his sister, Leena. He has gained a sense of belonging. He also enjoys being able to move independently and choosing his own activities and company. It is good to see him developing verbal and non verbal communication skills for range of purposes through actions and play. Today I watched him with great excitement as I photographed him playing with his sister and developing social skills.

Where to from here: Yamin, your kaiako will continue to support you in building positive relationships by learning from each other and also provide opportunities for older children to support the younger ones.
