CONCEPT OF PRESSURE
Pressure, P, is defined as the force acting normally per unit area. Pressure is scalar quantities.
Force (F) Pressure, P = Area (A) Where F = force in Newton (N), A = area in contact in square meters(m2)
CONCEPT OF PRESSURE
The SI unit of pressure is N m-2 or the pascal (Pa). Pressure increase when: 1) The surface area decreases 2) The acting force increases
