    The Peace Center for the Performing Arts Ramsaur Studio Monday, October 28th @ 6:00pm Admission is FREE

    The PEACE VOICES Program at the Peace Center will host a Dead Poets Slam on October 28that 6:00pm in Ramsaur Studio. Participants will choose one poet whose work still moves readers today and pick three of their poems to share in a poetry slam setting choosing from such poets as Carl Sandburg, Langston Hughes, Pablo Neruda, Lucille Clifton, Dorothy Parker or Emily Dickinson. Students will compete in the poetry slam using their selected poems and are encouraged to memorize the poetry and embody the poet fully even in dress and mannerisms.
