ng to the spectators Ansel Adams. Macro Wildlife photography per se is an art that renders not only meaning, but life, to the above said statement. As each and every art form justifies a rationale, Macro Wildlife Photography too heralds the purpose of documenting the humongous yet unseen world of arthropods or insects. Macro wildlife photography is an area of study in itself encompassing numerous facets of the macro world. To begin with, a macro wildlife photographer needs to have proficient knowledge of what he is doing i.e. understanding, of the art, the equipment, the subjects that he wishes to photograph and the ultimate purpose of documenting different species (both identified and yet to be identified) of insects. Taking macro photographs is considered to be a common liking among all amateur photographers, but the thin line that differentiates a pro and a novice is the capability to visualize subjects in a the macro perspective i.e. seeing the magnified image of an object (a flower or an insect) in ones mind. In every art form, born skill surpasses a trained eye, similarly in macro photography the extent to which one can actually train ones mind to see beauty in macro wildlife is minimal. All said and done a trained eye, with sufficient gear and knowledge of what one is actually looking for; can surpass some one blessed with inborn skill. To claim to be a macrographer (macro + photographer) one needs to know his tools, and by tools we mean the camera and its accessories. First stop the camera.
