Teacher Notes
The year is off to a great start and it has been such a pleasure getting to know all of our students throughout these first few weeks! Our students have successfully navigated their way through MAP and AIMSweb testing and are well on their way to an enriching fifth grade year! We have begun exploring the curriculum in all subject areas. In math, the students are learning about place value. In social studies, the students are learning about the migration of people into North America. In science, the students are learning about variables and conducting experiments with pendulums. In ELA, the students have been learning about character and setting, homophones, and improving on their writing while learning about the end of segregation. Please continue your students learning at home by asking them about these topics! Curriculum Night is tonight, Thursday, September 5th at 7pm. This night is full of important information explaining our classrooms and procedures. We look forward to seeing you there!
